Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies

The Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies at the University of San Agustin is an undergraduate teacher education program designed to prepare learners to teach in the secondary level in their chosen specialization/major. Graduates work with sociocultural and historical materials to explain current issues, integrate local and global perspectives in teaching the common good, and demonstrate leadership, research, and teaching qualities aligned with Augustinian graduate attributes.

Study is full-time and campus based. The curriculum totals 173 units, with 36 units of General Education Courses, 42 units of Professional Education Courses, 63 units of Major Courses, 6 units of electives, 14 units of Mandated Courses (PATHFIT & NSTP), and 12 units of an Institutional Course. The program duration is four years.
