Doctor of Medicine

The Doctor of Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas is offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. The curriculum includes core biomedical and clinical subjects such as Biochemistry, Gross and Clinical Anatomy, Histology, Physiology, Neurosciences, and Pathology. It also covers Clinical Epidemiology, Medical Ethics, Preventive and Community Medicine, and key medical fields including Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, and Gynecology.

Course content is organised in terms across multiple academic years. In the early terms, students take subjects including Clinical Epidemiology I, Clinical Epidemiology II, Medical Ethics I and II, Preventive and Community Medicine I and II, and Microbiology. Later subjects include Clinical Pathology, Radiology, Ophthalmology, and Rehabilitation Medicine. A Clerkship appears as a listed component in the final term.
