The Master of Arts in Nursing at the University of Santo Tomas is a graduate program offered by the Graduate School. It prepares students to demonstrate updated and in-depth professional nursing knowledge and skills, apply research methods to nursing issues, and develop leadership and independent and collaborative working capacity in nursing practice. Graduates also learn to access and use medical and nursing information and communicate effectively in written and oral forms.
The program includes pre-requisite, core, and specialization courses. Pre-requisite courses include St. Thomas and Critical Thinking and Nursing Research Methods. Core courses cover Biostatistics, Bioethics, and Theoretical Foundations in Nursing. Specialization courses include Nursing Administration I, Nursing Administration II (Nursing Practice), Nursing Administration II (Nursing Educ.), and Nursing Administration IV (Practicum), with administration-focused application and practice components.
