The Specialist Diploma in Business Analytics builds practical skills in managing business analytics projects and applying data analytics techniques to mine both structured and unstructured data for insights. You also select and implement predictive modelling to support business goals, and you create data visualisations and communicate insights using data storytelling techniques for data-driven decision-making.
To be awarded the Specialist Diploma, you complete a total of 2 Post-Diploma Certificates (PDCs) across 4 semesters. The learning includes facilitated learning (face-to-face and online synchronous) plus asynchronous e-learning. Course work follows a practical, hands-on curriculum with project work, supported by assessments that include written and practical tests, case studies, assignments, and projects.
This course is targeted at diploma graduates and Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMEs) who want to enter the field of Business Analytics. Graduates can pursue roles such as Data Analyst and Associate Data Engineer, and may also move into Data Visualisation Specialist roles.
A Polytechnic Diploma or ITE Technical Diploma/Technical Engineer Diploma/ Work-Learn Technical Diploma or equivalent
OR A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
OR A Post-Secondary Certificate with at least 3 Years of relevant working experience
