The Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting via distance learning is designed to give an understanding of accounting topics and how accountants interpret the effects of financial transactions on a corporation’s or business’s income and financial position. Students study the balance sheet, income statement, accounting cycle, cash flow statements, working capital, inventories, fixed assets and depreciation, dividends and reserves, and long-term debt. The course also covers basic cost accounting, cost standards, consolidated statements, and internal management accounting.
Study is delivered online via distance learning and is organized as a program that is 100% based on textbooks. The degree requires 130 academic credits. General education minimum requirements are 40 credits, and a minimum transfer of 40 credits from previous education should be accounted as an equivalent of general education credits toward the Bachelor’s Degree online via distance learning. Duration ranges from 1 to 3 years, and admission is open for adults over 23 years of age.
