The Bachelor’s Degree Earth Science examines the physical environment through a review of earth sciences. It emphasizes the origin, structure, and composition of the earth, and studies internal processes such as plate tectonics, volcanism, rock formation, earthquake activity, and mountain building. It also considers natural processes occurring at the surface.
The program is delivered online via distance learning. It uses a program structure that is 100% based on textbooks, with academic work completed through BIU Earned Credits that include reports, projects, and a thesis. The degree requires 130 academic credits and includes 40 credits in general education, with possible credit transfers, plus Earth Science Online study.
It is for adults over 23 years of age. Fees are described as including the program of study, textbooks, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma, and transcript. A payment plan is available upon request up to 36 monthly installments.
