Bachelor S Degree Human Animal Studies

The Bachelor’s Degree in Human Animal Studies examines the complex and multidimensional relationship between humans and animals. It uses anthrozoology and combines approaches from the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences to analyze the positive and mutual effects of human-animal relationships and their interactions. The program is delivered through distance learning and is described as equivalent to a four years college degree.

Students study Human Animal Studies through online distance learning with a program structure that is 100% based on textbooks. The degree requires 130 academic credits, including 40 credits in general education (which may be transferred from previous education and professional experience) and 66 academic credits in Human Animal Studies Online, plus other additional subjects. BIU also allows credits transferred from other institutions and credits validated from professional experience.
