Bachelor S Degree Thanatology Death Studies

Thanatology Death Studies is a Bachelor’s Degree that covers the scientific study of death and how it affects individuals. Students study grief and bereavement issues, counseling, and religious concepts of dying and death from the perspective of both the dying and the bereaved. The program focuses on supporting people facing death, coping with death, or dealing with the terminally ill, and it does not include palliative care or forensic studies.

The program is delivered online via distance learning. It requires 130 academic credits and follows a structure that is 100% based on textbooks. The degree includes 40 credits in general education and 75 academic credits in Thanatology Death Studies online, plus other additional subjects. The university also offers credits transfer and credits validation from professional experience.
