The Bachelor’s Degree in Translation & Interpretation via distance learning focuses on the principles of translation and interpretation, with special emphasis on theory, text analysis, effective research methods, and team work. It considers the characteristics of business, technical, and legal texts, the theory of translating literature, and methods for dealing with diverse information media. Students are required to master the two languages involved.
Study is delivered through distance learning and is organized around textbooks. The program requires 130 academic credits, including 40 credits in General Education (which may be transferred from previous education and professional experience) and 51 academic credits in Translation & Interpretation Online, plus other additional subjects. Students must present three papers of technical, legal, and literary translation.
The student is required to master the two languages involved. Proof on language level is required prior to admission. The student is required to present three papers (each with 3 pages minimum) of technical, legal, and literary translation, respectively.
