Doctor PhD Degree Accounting

The Bircham International University Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Accounting via distance learning focuses on accounting topics and the reasoning process accountants use to interpret how financial transactions affect a corporation or business’s income and financial position. Students study the balance sheet and income statement, the accounting cycle, cash flow statements, working capital, inventories, fixed assets and depreciation, dividends and reserves, and long-term debt. The program also covers basic cost accounting, cost standards, consolidated statements, and internal management accounting.

The program is delivered online through distance learning. Program structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program, with an average duration of 24 months. The composition includes 27 academic credits for Accounting Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis.
