Doctor PhD Degree Art History

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Art History at Bircham International University is a distance learning program focused on art history from early art to experimental art today. It covers the Western tradition and cultures of the Middle East, South Asia, East Asia, Africa, the Pacific Islands, and the Americas, with study of art history through a psychological perspective and an emphasis on how works connect past and future.

The online program is for adult students and is delivered in a flexible distance format. It uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis, with research methodology and a final project or thesis. Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits, with program composition including 33 academic credits for Art History Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and the final project or thesis.
