About this program

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Astrophysics via distance learning explores the scientific study of the universe. It applies physics and chemistry to explain the birth, life, and death of stars, planets, galaxies, nebulae, and other elements and phenomena, and it addresses the origin of the universe, dark matter, black holes, and the existence of the multiverse.

The program is structured as 70% textbooks and 30% thesis, with 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program. It includes 39 academic credits in Astrophysics Online plus additional subjects, and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis. Study is delivered as a distance learning degree.
