Doctor PhD Degree Building Technology Design

Bircham International University offers a Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Building Technology & Design through distance learning. The program explains the major systems used in building design, how buildings are constructed, and how building elements interrelate and affect each other. It focuses on the principles underlying building construction and describes each building element, component, or system in terms of its functionality.

Learning is delivered as a flexible distance learning format. The program uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis, with research methodology and a final project or thesis included in the credit composition. Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits, including Building Technology & Design Online and other additional subjects.

Admission is for adults over 27 years of age. The program requires a master’s degree or international equivalent, described as 5 years of study, and requires previous knowledge in this field of study. If approved by the faculty, the program may lead to a major in Architecture.
