Doctor PhD Degree Cognitive Psychology

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Cognitive Psychology examines the relation between the brain and the mind, including how memories are stored and retrieved, how sensory input becomes subjective perception, and how learning is organized in the brain. Students review the methods, findings, and controversies of cognitive neuroscience and psychology. The program uses a comparative and developmental perspective to study theories of human cognition and brain evolution using data from animals and young children.

The degree is delivered online via distance learning. The program uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits, including 36 academic credits for Cognitive Psychology Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis. The average duration is 24 months.
