Doctor PhD Degree Education Pedagogy

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Education & Pedagogy via distance learning focuses on pedagogy questions such as comprehension versus knowledge, what students should understand and apply, and how to design courses to ensure comprehension. It examines both the how of teaching and the what and the why, presenting pedagogy as the science of teaching and part of the essential understanding of teachers.

The program is delivered online through distance learning and uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a master’s program, including credits for Education & Pedagogy Online and credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis. Adult admission is open for those over 27 years of age.
