The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Ergonomics via distance learning studies how to design or arrange workplaces, products, and systems so they fit the people who use them. It focuses on minimizing risk of injury or harm and optimizing wellness. Ergonomics covers design for anything that involves people, workspaces, sports and leisure, health, and safety.
The program is delivered through flexible distance learning. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program and uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. The credits include 27 academic credits for Ergonomics Online and additional subjects, plus 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis. Study is for adults over 27 years of age.
