Doctor PhD Degree Film Direction Production

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Film Direction & Production via distance learning focuses on major responsibilities of a film director. Students study on-screen image creation, camera movements, lighting, actors’ direction, dialogue, story-boarding, and scene breakdown. The program also covers the relationship between the director and elements of production and post-production, plus procedures and logistics needed to complete and deliver a finished motion picture.

The program is delivered through distance learning. Its structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits, including 39 academic credits for Film Direction & Production Online, plus research methodology and a final project or thesis for 18 academic credits. Fees include the program of study, textbooks, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma, and transcript. Payment plans are available up to 36 monthly installments.
