Doctor PhD Degree Geography Cartography

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Geography & Cartography via distance learning studies the earth’s physical environment, including atmosphere, water, landforms, soils, and vegetation. The program also integrates modern technology with traditional cartographic principles and uses Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology. It covers tools for making maps and includes an accurate and complete spectrum of the world’s geography and cartography.

Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits above a master’s program, with an average duration of 24 months. The program structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. Geography & Cartography includes 30 academic credits online, with additional subjects and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis.

Admission is open for adults over 27 years of age. A master’s degree or international equivalent (5 years of study) is required. The degree is for distance degree programs for adults and professionals, delivered via distance education.
