Doctor PhD Degree Herbology Phytotherapy

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Herbology & Phytotherapy via distance learning is part of the Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Natural Health Science. Students study modern herbology, including how herbal prescriptions are classified by the organs they affect, and the fundamentals of growing, drying, storing, and cooking herbs. The program also covers making infusions, decoctions, oils, and ointments, and preparing and using herbs to make medicinal substances that work in harmony with the human system and support health and recovery.

The program is delivered through distance learning and is structured as 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program, with an average duration of 24 months. Composition includes 21 academic credits in Herbology & Phytotherapy Online, plus additional subjects, and 18 academic credits in research methodology and the final project or thesis. Fees include the program of study, textbooks, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma, and transcript.
