This Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Hypnotherapy examines the use of hypnosis to heal, improve health, and reduce pain. Students learn how the hypnotherapist guides patients through a trance and an altered state of consciousness to revisit initial conditions, emotion, and/or circumstances that triggered observed distress. It covers how emotional and/or physical pain is relived, assimilated, and healed, and how hypnosis reframes memories linked to illness, anxiety, depression, frustration, and other negative emotions.
The program is delivered online via distance learning. The structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis, with 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master's program.
