The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Language Studies via distance learning provides an understanding of the general nature of human language, including its structure and use. It offers interdisciplinary study of languages and linguistics, with no focus on teaching any foreign language. Students study languages to build a foundation to improve communication skills.
The program is delivered through distance learning and uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program, with an average duration of 24 months. The composition includes 30 academic credits for Language Studies Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis.
Admission is open for adults over 27 years of age. A Master’s degree or international equivalent (5 years of study) is required for admission. Previous knowledge in this field of study is required.
