Doctor PhD Degree Legal Science

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Legal Science at Bircham International University is a conceptual study of laws, legal regulations, and justice. The program is designed to complement Law Degrees for a better understanding of laws and justice beyond the legal framework of students’ jurisdictions. It addresses law as a system of rules created and enforced through social or governmental institutions, and considers how legal systems vary between countries and cultures.

Students study via distance learning with an average duration of 24 months. The program structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program. Credits are composed of 54 academic credits for Legal Science Online plus 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis, along with other additional subjects.

Admission is open for adults over 27 years of age. A Master’s degree or international equivalent is required for admission, with the international equivalent described as 5 years of study.
