The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Library & Data Management via distance learning helps students understand how to assist researchers with the organization, management, and curation of research data to support preservation and access. It covers work done by librarians in managing research data, using research data as a resource, and supporting researchers in these activities, including how new technologies support data organization and access while traditional library services are also considered.
Students study through a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. The program requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program, with 33 academic credits for Library & Data Management Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and the final project or thesis. Admission is open for adults over 27 years of age, and the doctorate is delivered via distance learning.
