Doctor PhD Degree Marine Science

This Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Marine Science focuses on the principles governing oceans, sea currents, water composition, and marine life. It covers physical, geological, and chemical oceanography, and links these to marine ecosystems and their inhabitants. It also examines how organisms interact within marine ecosystems and how human activity affects oceans, pollution, oceanic dead zones, and coral reefs.

Students study through distance learning in a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. The program requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program. It includes Marine Science Online and research methodology with a final project or thesis, delivered through academic work such as reports, projects, and thesis.

Admission is open for adults over 27 years of age. A Master’s degree or international equivalent (5 years of study) is required for admission.
