Doctor PhD Degree Microfinance

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Microfinance at Bircham International University is a distance learning program focused on microfinance, including banking services for unemployed or low-income individuals or groups with limited access to standard financial services. It covers microcredit, social and banking inclusion through productive loans and savings solutions, and financial products and services designed for people excluded from traditional banking channels.

The program is delivered online via distance learning and follows a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. It requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a Master’s program, with a composition of 39 academic credits for Microfinance Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis, plus other additional subjects. It is for adults over 27 years of age.
