Doctor PhD Degree Peace Studies

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Peace Studies examines fundamental questions in peace studies from various perspectives. It explores how peace is defined, how violence, conflict, security, development, sustainability, democracy, equality, and justice are understood, and what human values shape peaceful and conflicting cultures. It also covers practical means of building peaceful relationships and the key challenges and peaceful alternatives facing humanity.

This program is delivered online via distance learning for adults and professionals. It uses a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits, including research methodology and a final project or thesis, with 45 academic credits for Peace Studies Online and other additional subjects.

Admission is open for adults over 27 years of age, and it requires a master’s degree or international equivalent (5 years of study). Fees include the program of study, textbooks, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma, and transcript.
