The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Statistics provides advanced study of statistics and probability. It focuses on interpreting results and presenting and evaluating assumptions. Course topics include describing and summarizing data; probability and discrete probability distributions; continuous probability distributions and sampling distributions; process control charts; estimation procedures; hypothesis testing; the design of experiments; and linear and multiple regression models.
The program is delivered online via distance learning. The structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. Students complete 45 to 72 academic credits, including 21 academic credits for Statistics Online and 18 academic credits for research methodology and a final project or thesis.
