Doctor PhD Degree Toxicology

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Toxicology (via distance learning) covers the scientific principles behind the toxic actions of substances. It includes chemical nature of injurious substances, their uptake and metabolism, and their mode of action, plus methods used in safety evaluations and risk assessment.

The program also combines biogeochemical cycles of toxins with interactions with biological systems, to support assessment at molecular, cellular, organismal, and ecosystem levels. It is delivered online via distance learning with a structure of 70% textbooks and 30% thesis. The program requires 45 to 72 academic credits above a master’s program and includes research methodology and a final project or thesis.
