Doctor PhD Degree Wood Science

The Doctor Ph.D. Degree in Wood Science via distance learning studies wood structure and the properties and technology of major wood products. It covers wood as an industrial raw material, industrial processing, and trees physiology and development. It also explores contemporary forest products, the production of wood from shavings and sawdust, and the development of composite materials, adhesives, and finishes.

The program includes study of wood properties and wood technology, woodworker’s raw materials, and skills for cutting, seasoning, joining, bending, fastening, and finishing wood. It also focuses on the interaction of wood with moisture. The structure is 70% textbooks and 30% thesis, with research methodology and a final project or thesis included. Fees include the program of study, textbooks, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma, and transcript.

It is designed for adults over 27 years of age with a Master’s degree or international equivalent and previous knowledge in the field. Admission is presented as open for adults over 27 years of age, and the degree is delivered through distance learning for adults and professionals.
