Grado en Ingenieria de La Energia Y Recursos Minerales

The Grado en Ingeniería de la Energía y Recursos Minerales at Universidad de Salamanca prepares students for the regulated profession of Ingeniero Técnico de Minas. The degree is organized around five blocks of semester courses: basic training (66 ECTS), common mining-branch training (60 ECTS), specific technology for energy resources, fuels, and explosives (48 ECTS), complementary training in geological-mining resources, geological-mining research, and extractive technology (48 ECTS), electives (6 ECTS), and a final degree project (12 ECTS).

The program is designed to develop scientific-technical capability for the profession and knowledge of advisory, analysis, design, calculation, project work, construction, maintenance, conservation, and operation. It covers engineering tasks such as planning and directing projects and facilities in its field, studies related to territory planning and environmental aspects, and work that includes measurements, planning layouts, risk analysis, expert reports, and environmental and restoration impact studies.

Studies last 4 years, totaling 240 ECTS. The program began being offered at USAL after the verification process, and it replaced earlier mining technical studies in Sondeos y Prospecciones Mineras. Universidad de Salamanca also offers a double degree with Ingeniería Civil, delivered through the EPS of Ávila.
