Grado en Ingenieria Quimica

The Grado en Ingeniería Química at Universidad de Salamanca is a degree that prepares students to exercise the regulated profession of Industrial Technical Engineer. It trains students to apply the scientific method and engineering principles to solve complex problems in chemical engineering, and to design and execute chemical engineering projects for installations and auxiliary services.

The degree totals 240 ECTS, including basic training subjects (90 ECTS), compulsory subjects (123 ECTS), company work placements (6 ECTS), optional subjects (9 ECTS), and a final degree project (12 ECTS). It supports development in areas such as process production, technical control and quality, equipment and industrial system design, and reporting on studies and engineering projects.

This degree is directed, preferably, to people who studied in upper secondary education (Bachillerato) Science and Technology with subjects in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Technical Drawing. It is also directed to people who completed related higher vocational training cycles (Ciclos Formativos de Grado Superior), including the Técnico Superior en Industria Alimentaria and Técnico Superior en Química Ambiental.

There are no special conditions or tests planned for enrollment beyond the general conditions set by state basic regulations. If the students’ native language is not Spanish, it is mandatory to prove a B2 level under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (MCERL).

A B2 level in the Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas (MCERL) is mandatory if the students’ native language is not Spanish.
