Grado en Psicologia

The Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Universidad de Salamanca prepares students to understand, interpret, analyze, and explain human behavior. Students also develop basic skills to evaluate and intervene in individual and social contexts across the life cycle, with the aim of promoting and improving health and quality of life.

The degree lasts 4 years (60 ECTS per year) and totals 240 ECTS. It is structured in semester courses, mostly 6 ECTS each. Basic Formation courses (60 ECTS) are taught in the first year, Compulsory courses (132 ECTS) mainly in the second and third years, and Electives (33 ECTS), External supervised placements (9 ECTS), and the Final Degree Project (6 ECTS) in the fourth year. It includes a Health Psychology mention through 90 ECTS of basic and compulsory subjects.

It is recommended that students accessing the degree have completed Bachillerato in the Ciencias de la Tecnología modality, option Ciencias de la Salud (according to LOE), or have completed a higher-level training cycle in Health, or have another university degree, or have passed the USAL entrance test for over 25s. Applicants should have interest in psychology-related issues and sensitivity to cultural knowledge, adequate oral and written expression skills, teamwork skills, abstract reasoning and creativity, and good interpersonal skills and adaptability to changing contexts. They should also have communication skills, curiosity, critical sense, autonomy, ability to speak in public, stress tolerance, creativity, initiative, among others.

For enrollment, there are no special conditions or tests planned for this degree beyond the general requirements set by the basic state regulations.
