Grado en Traduccion E Interpretacion

The Grado en Traducción e Interpretación at Universidad de Salamanca trains students as linguistic professionals in three working languages: Spanish, English, and one additional language that can be French, German, or Japanese. It develops competence in interpersonal communication and in the management, processing, and transmission of information, content, and products in multilingual and multicultural contexts. Students also receive a general education across a range of areas related to language services.

The degree (Plan has 240 ECTS. It is organized into Formación Básica (78 ECTS), Obligatorias (84 ECTS), Optativas (72 ECTS), and a Trabajo Fin de Grado (6 ECTS). Through the elective courses, students can complete one of two mentions: Mención en Traducción Especializada (at least 48 ECTS) or Mención en Interpretación (at least 48 ECTS). It includes the possibility to study a double degree in Traducción e Interpretación and Derecho, or in Administración y Dirección de Empresas and Traducción e Interpretación.

Students for the Grado en Traducción e Interpretación (Plan 2025) are typically required to have passed Bachillerato and the University entrance exam. Their academic and personal profile includes: (1) Spanish level equivalent to C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) if Spanish is not their native language; (2) consolidated English knowledge equivalent to B1 of the CEFR; (3) consolidated knowledge of one of the three chosen languages (German, French, Japanese) equivalent to A1 of the CEFR; (4) interest in intercultural and interpersonal communication; (5) ability for independent learning and teamwork; (6) interpersonal communication skills; (7) analytical and critical reasoning skills and common sense; and (8) ethical and democratic commitment and respect for diversity.
