Master S Degree Animal Assisted Therapy

The Master’s Degree in Animal Assisted Therapy trains students to design and implement Animal-Assisted Therapy programs in health and mental health. It covers conceptual models and guidelines for quality assurance, plus methods, standards, guidelines, and considerations for selecting animals for Animal-Assisted Therapy.

Learning is delivered through distance learning online and is structured as 70% textbooks and 30% project. The program includes research methodology and a final project or thesis, and it requires 36 to 54 academic credits. Students study an online Animal Assisted Therapy component plus additional subjects, and they complete reports, projects, and thesis work for Bircham earned credits.
