Bircham International University’s Master’s Degree in Microfinance studies the effects of microfinance and microcredits on reducing poverty and supporting economic growth, employment, structural change, human development, and sustainability. It also examines different development strategies adopted by several countries through microfinance and microcredits. The program is delivered through the Faculty of Business & Media via distance learning.
The online structure uses 70% textbooks and 30% project work. The degree requires 36 to 54 academic credits above a Bachelor’s program, with 39 academic credits for Microfinance Online and 13 academic credits for research methodology and the final project or thesis. Students are admitted as adults over 25 years of age. Fees include the program of study, textbooks, study guide, evaluation and assessment, diploma, and transcript.
