Master S Degree Optics

The Master’s Degree Optics at Bircham International University is an optics program delivered via distance learning. It examines luminous beam concepts, refraction index, chromatic dispersion, and the laws of optics for homogeneous media and isotropic materials. The curriculum also covers applications of the Fermat principle, the Malus-Dupin theorem, optical representation theory, and optical systems, including object and image.

The program is structured as 70% textbooks and 30% project. It requires 36 to 54 academic credits above a Bachelor’s program, and it includes a research methodology component with a final project or thesis. Students also study core Optics Online coursework plus additional subjects, and the program includes evaluation and assessment. Academic supervision is provided by Guido Fuortes.

Admission is open for adults over 25 years of age. The entry requirement includes a Bachelor’s degree or an international equivalent, described as 3 to 4 years of study.
