Master in Research Methods in Mixed Methods Research

The Master in Research Methods in Mixed Methods Research educates students in qualitative and quantitative research techniques applied to complex societal issues. It is designed for working professionals, researchers, and academics who want to improve their analytical and research skills. Students learn how to design research projects, analyze data, and communicate results effectively. The program spans three years part-time, totaling 120 ECTS credits. The first year focuses on theoretical foundations, general quantitative and qualitative research skills, and data analysis techniques. The second year emphasizes advanced qualitative methods and quantitative multivariate techniques, along with professional development for conducting independent and collaborative research. The third year centers on mixed methods integration and analysis, culminating in a research thesis. Classes are conducted in Dutch and English from 17:30 to 21:00.

Completed Scientific Bachelor degree or successful completion of the Premaster Scientific Training IGSR. The program accepts students from various backgrounds including applied sciences (Biology, Chemistry) and social and humanities sciences (Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Business Administration, History, and Dutch).
