Lund University’s Fine Arts - Master Programme is a master’s programme that builds on your artistic practice. Students combine individual artistic work with elective courses in embodiment, technique, art history and theory, while training to reflect on, formulate, and design their own projects. The programme also focuses on creative text work, critical reflection, and independent work as an artist.
Teaching and learning are carried out in your own studio throughout your studies. The programme includes individual supervision, elective courses, and workshops that support experimentation and critical thinking. Students have access to workshops for wood, metal, ceramics, analogue and digital photography, video and film (16mm), and plaster. Professional presentation is developed through a solo exhibition and an oral presentation in which you show and discuss your work with an audience and experts.
The programme is characterised by the Malmö Art Academy’s feminist and experimental pedagogy, including a horizontal relationship between students and teachers expressed through studio visits you manage. Lund University also describes the programme as having an international character through lectures and collaborations with visiting artists, curators, and researchers, plus exchange agreements with art schools.
