KTH Royal Institute of Technology Sweden Joint Programme Scholarship

The KTH Joint Programme Scholarship is available for students participating in a joint programme and KTH states that it covers the tuition fee for the study period spent at KTH. KTH states that it does not include living costs.

KTH states that applicants must be a fee-paying student according to the definition of University Admissions in the Swedish national application system. Applicants must also attend one or two semesters at KTH beginning in autumn as part of one of the listed joint programmes: COSSE, DENSYS, EIT Digital, Nordic Five Tech, and EIT Urban Mobility, with programme-specific eligibility conditions.

KTH states that selection is awarded primarily on the basis of academic excellence, based on the applicant’s grades (GPA or equivalent), the ranking of the university that awarded the applicant’s bachelor’s degree, and previous studies within the joint programme for students attending KTH for their second year.

KTH states that the scholarship covers the tuition fee for the study period spent at KTH. KTH does not state any other support duration, renewal conditions, or post-study obligations.

• You must be a fee-paying student according to the definition of University Admissions in the Swedish national application system.
• You must attend one or two semesters at KTH beginning in autumn as part of a listed joint programme: COSSE; DENSYS (Erasmus+), with the restriction that only DENSYS students who do not hold an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or a scholarship from the DENSYS consortium are eligible; EIT Digital with the restrictions that you are an EIT Digital student who meets all listed criteria; Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering (Nordic Five Tech); and Transport Mobility and Innovation (EIT Urban Mobility).
• If you apply to the master’s programmes in Molecular Techniques in Life Science or Biostatistics and Data Science, you are not eligible for the KTH Joint Programme Scholarship; you must instead apply for the KTH Scholarship.
• If you apply to the master’s programme in Mathematics, you must apply for a scholarship through Stockholm University.
• Students admitted to an EIT programme not listed above are not eligible.
• Students who hold an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship are not eligible.
• For EIT Digital applicants: eligibility is limited to EIT Digital students who meet the listed criteria including first-semester or third-semester status at KTH, payment of the registration fee by the stated date for the first-semester group, and not holding a scholarship (whole or partial) from the EIT Digital consortium.
• For DENSYS applicants: eligibility is limited to DENSYS students who do not hold an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship and do not hold a scholarship from the DENSYS consortium.
