KTH Royal Institute of Technology Sweden Scholarships

The KTH Scholarship covers the full tuition fee of a one or two year master’s programme at KTH. KTH also states that the selection process focuses on academic excellence and drive to contribute to sustainable development.

The scholarship is available for applicants to all master’s programmes with two years spent at KTH, the joint master’s programmes in Molecular Techniques in Life Science and Biostatistics and Data Science, and the one-year master’s programme in Architectural Lighting Design. KTH states it is not available to joint Erasmus+ and EIT programmes and the joint programme Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering.

KTH states that only applicants who fulfil the admission requirements of the programme applied for are eligible for a scholarship. The scholarship selection is made in parallel with the admissions process, and KTH assesses applicants using grades (GPA or equivalent), ranking of the university that awarded the applicant’s bachelor’s degree, extracurricular research experiences or publications, relevant work experience, relevant teaching experience, awards from competitions and extracurricular activities, and the applicant’s motivation to contribute to sustainable development goals with a master’s degree from KTH.

KTH states the scholarship covers tuition fee at KTH for the first and the second year, provided study results during the first year are satisfactory.

• Must be a fee-paying student.
• Must have applied for a master’s programme at KTH as the first priority.
• Must have paid the application fee.
• Cannot apply for or be awarded a scholarship for programmes listed as the second, third or fourth priority.
• Must apply to eligible programmes: all master’s programmes with two years spent at KTH, the joint master’s programmes in Molecular Techniques in Life Science and Biostatistics and Data Science, and the one-year master’s programme in Architectural Lighting Design.
• KTH states scholarships are not available to joint Erasmus+ and EIT programmes and the joint programme Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering.
• Must fulfil the admission requirements of the programme applied for to be eligible for a scholarship.

1. Apply for a master’s programme at KTH via universityadmissions.se before applying for the KTH Scholarship.
2. When the scholarship application is open, submit the scholarship application using the form on the KTH Scholarship page.
3. Submit your application documents to universityadmissions.se by the document submission deadline of 2 February.

• No additional documents are required for the scholarship application.
• KTH will use the documents submitted in your application to universityadmissions.se for the scholarship evaluation.
