Malardalen University Sweden Scholarships

Mälardalen University offers a limited number of scholarships for students applying for a Master’s programme as their first choice. Mälardalen University scholarship programme covers 100% of the tuition fee of the programme, as long as the student follows the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits/semester and minimum 45 credits/academic year). The scholarship does not cover living expenses.

The scholarship is aimed at especially qualified students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland and who are required to pay tuition fees. It is not open for students from the twelve countries with which Sweden has long-term development cooperation: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. Students from these countries should apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship.

To have a scholarship application considered, the applicant must have applied for the programme at Mälardalen University as their first choice and submitted supporting documentation within deadlines published on Universityadmissions. The application fee must have been paid in time. Scholarship notifications are sent by email, using the same email address as on University Admissions. If an invoice for the tuition fee was received, the applicant is not one of the students offered a scholarship.

The scholarship continues while the student follows the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits/semester and minimum 45 credits/academic year). If the student’s status changes during the programme from a fee-paying student to a non-paying student, the scholarship will no longer be granted for the programme period.

• Be an especially qualified student.
• Come from a country outside EU/EEA/Switzerland.
• Be required to pay tuition fees.
• Not be from Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zambia.
• Submit supporting documentation within deadlines published on Universityadmissions.
• Pay the application fee in time.
• Follow the normal study plan during the programme period (minimum 22.5 credits/semester and minimum 45 credits/academic year).
• Remain a fee-paying student during the programme period (if status changes to non-paying, scholarship will no longer be granted).

• 100% of the tuition fee of the programme.
• Does not cover living expenses.

4. 4. Wait for scholarship notification by email sent by Mälardalen University between 27-31 March using the same email address as used on University Admissions.
