MDU Scholarship Programme

Mälardalen University offers a limited number of scholarships to students applying for a Master’s programme with Mälardalen University as their first choice. Mälardalen University states that the scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fee of the programme as long as the student follows the normal study plan.

The scholarship is aimed at especially qualified students coming from countries outside EU/EEA/Switzerland who are required to pay tuition fees. The scholarship is not open for students from the twelve specified countries with which Sweden has long-term development cooperation; applicants from those countries are directed to apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship.

For scholarship consideration, Mälardalen University states that the applicant must have applied for the Master’s programme as first choice at Mälardalen University and submitted supporting documentation within the deadlines published on Universityadmissions. Mälardalen University also states that the application fee must have been paid in time.

Mälardalen University states that the scholarship covers tuition fee as long as the student follows the normal study plan, including minimum credits per semester and minimum credits per academic year. The scholarship does not cover living expenses, and if the student’s status changes from a fee-paying student to a non-paying student during the programme study period, the scholarship is no longer granted.

• Change in status condition: if status changes from being a fee-paying student to a non-paying student during the programme study period, the student will no longer be granted the scholarship.
