Uppsala University Global Scholarship

The Uppsala University Global Scholarship is funded by the Swedish Council for Higher Education, which is described as the government agency overseeing Swedish higher education. The scholarship covers the full tuition fee for an international Master’s programme at Uppsala University, and it does not cover living expenses.

The scholarship is open to citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland. It is for Master’s programmes at Uppsala University, and the Master’s programme must be chosen as first priority among the programmes you can choose at University Admissions.

Selection requires academic talent and showing interest in being in an educational environment. You can only be awarded the scholarship for a Master’s programme at Uppsala University chosen as first priority, and you must have applied for the Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline. Your application fee and complete supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.

The scholarship covers full tuition fee but does not cover living expenses.

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
• Academic and interest criteria: Must demonstrate academic talent and show interest in being in an educational environment.
• Programme priority rule: Can only be awarded an Uppsala University Global Scholarship for a Master’s programme at Uppsala University chosen as first priority (the programme ranked highest of the four programmes you can choose at University Admissions).
• Application timing: Must have applied for the Master’s programme before the University Admissions deadline.
• Entry requirements: Must meet the entry requirements for the Master’s programme applied for.
• Admissions requirements submission: The application fee and your complete supporting documents must be received by University Admissions before the deadline.
