The Graduate Diploma in International Culinary Arts at International Hotel Management Institute is a six-month programme focused on practical culinary skills and a theoretical basis in management and business fundamentals. Students study core subjects including Food Hygiene & Safety, Culinary Fundamentals, Restaurant Management & Control, Pastry & Baking Arts, Oenology & Beverage Management, and Contemporary Cuisine.
The programme includes paid, practical internship experience. Students complete on-campus study units and then complete a paid internship on completion of the study units, with 6 months of paid internship experience guaranteed through a network of leading European restaurants.
It is aimed at students with an unrelated undergraduate degree qualification or work experience. It can support entrepreneurial ambitions through a foundation of management theory, and it leads to roles across kitchen operations, food and beverage management, and leadership in culinary and hospitality environments.
