Master in Life Schiences Biotechnology

The Master in Life Sciences – Biotechnology at FHNW (University of Applied Sciences Aargau) is a Master of Science in Life Sciences. It deepens scientific knowledge and sharpens methodological skills for specialist and managerial roles in research and industry. The program covers biopharmaceutical products, continuous bioprocesses, process analytics and automation, formulation and analytics of biologics, and regulatory requirements. Electives include Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytics, Applied Cell Biology, and Pharma Technology.

Students complete 90 ECTS credits. The learning mode is online and onsite, with study options including full-time and part-time/work-study. Training is research-based and application-oriented, with practical work in laboratories and work on real research and development projects. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary modules for project management and academic work, and for innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a thesis.
