About this program

The Master in Life Sciences Biotechnologie (Master of Science in Life Sciences) develops students’ knowledge in biotechnology and prepares them for specialist and leadership tasks in research and industry. The programme focuses on areas such as biopharmaceutical products, continuous bioprocesses, process analytics and automation, and formulation and analytics of biologics.

Teaching is offered as part-time (career-compatible) and full-time. The learning setting combines remote and in-person instruction. The programme lasts 3 semesters full-time or 6 semesters part-time, and it includes work on real research and development projects, supported by modern laboratory facilities.

Students may study abroad, and the programme offers an international option through a Double Degree with partner universities. Career preparation is directed toward roles at biotechnological and pharmaceutical industry and in public research institutions, at the interface of research, development, production, and marketing of biotechnological medicines.
