Master in Life Sciences Applied Cell Biology

The Master of Science in Life Sciences - Applied Cell Biology at FHNW trains you to apply methods for cell biology in laboratory settings, including single-cell assays, complex microphysiological systems, and automated cell cultures. The programme covers cell engineering and high-throughput assays, microphysiological systems, cell imaging and analytics, and process and analysis automation. It also includes electives from related fields such as Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytics, Biotechnology, and Pharma Technology.

Teaching is available in online and onsite learning modes, with study options for full-time and part-time/work-study. The programme has 90 ECTS credits, structured as practice-oriented modules with project work, including setting up automated cell culture systems and applying high-content screening in real projects. Students also work on academic writing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and career planning, with a master thesis included in the structure.
