About this program

The Master in Life Sciences Applied Cell Biology is a Master of Science in Life Sciences. It trains you to apply methods directly in the laboratory, including single-cell assays, complex microphysiological systems, and automated cell cultures. The programme covers cell engineering and high-throughput assays, microphysiological systems, cell imaging and analytics, and process and analysis automation, with elective options from related fields.

Learning is delivered in practice-oriented modules. You set up automated cell culture systems, apply high-content screening in real projects, and work with microphysiological systems. The programme includes project work and academic writing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and career planning. You can study full-time for 3 semesters or part-time/work-study for 6 semesters, with onsite and online learning modes. An exchange semester and a master thesis abroad are possible.
