Master in Life Sciences Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry

This Master of Science in Life Sciences focuses on Organic and Supramolecular Chemistry. Students deepen knowledge in modern organic chemistry concepts and applications, including multi-component reactions, photochemistry, electrochemistry, flow chemistry, and (bio)catalysis. The programme also covers molecule and synthesis design and the development of functional systems and surfaces such as bioconjugates, bioactive surfaces, and functional materials.

Study combines core modules in Organic Chemistry and Supramolecular Chemistry with electives from fields including Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharma Technology, and Chemical Engineering. Students complete a practice-oriented master’s thesis for eight months at an industry partner or a partner university, with onsite and online learning options available. The programme supports international options, including a double degree at a partner university or completing the thesis abroad.
