The Master of Science in Sport Management and Events trains students in the business side of sports and events. Students investigate the economics and financial management of sports, explore brand strategy across events and organizations to individual sportspeople, and learn how to manage international events successfully. The curriculum also covers how sport functions as a global business, including economics, sports marketing, brand building, consumer behavior, governance, stakeholder management, ethics, and leadership.
Full-time study combines on-campus academic content with a business field trip and a final semester outcome. The structure includes a Spring semester of academic content, a Fall semester of academic content plus a business field trip, and a final semester with either a 6-month professional internship or a Master’s thesis. Part-time is available on the Abu Dhabi campus only, with study delivered across evenings in multiple semesters, ending with a 6-month internship or Master’s thesis.
